Original Dexcom G7
CGM System
Dexcom G7 tracks glucose levels in real-time and sends the data to your receiver or smartphone via the app–no finger sticks required.* With glucose readings every 5 minutes and 180 days of data storage, you’re always in the know. Choose from a variety of customizable alerts, including delaying first alerts, “urgent low soon” alerts, and quiet mode with the Dexcom G7 app.
The G7 offers key improvements to its predecessor, the Dexcom G6. It has a shortened warm-up time of only 30 minutes, while other brands require at least an hour. The G7 also has a small all-in-one sensor/transmitter.
The Dexcom G7 CGM system comes with a handheld receiver and a 90-day supply of sensors to get you started. Each sensor can be worn for up to 10 days, even in the shower.

The new Dexcom G7 15-Day CGM System offers an extended 15-day wear time and is indicated for adults ages 18 and older.
The original Dexcom G7 CGM System is compatible with the Beta Bionics iLet Bionic Pancreas, Tandem t:slim X2 insulin pump, Tandem Mobi, and the Insulet Omnipod® 5.
The new Dexcom G7 15-Day CGM System is currently compatible with the Beta Bionics iLet Bionic Pancreas and the Insulet Omnipod® 5. Compatibility with the Tandem t:slim X2 insulin pump and Tandem Mobi is expected in 2026.
The original Dexcom G7 has an overall MARD of 8.2% when used by adults and worn on the upper arm. *Dexcom, data on file, 2025.
The new Dexcom G7 15 Day has an overall MARD of 8.0%¹, slightly better than Dexcom G7’s 8.2%.
Dexcom G7 records blood sugar levels up to every 5 minutes.
Dexcom G7 sensor may be inserted on the back of the upper arm (for users ages 2 years and older) or on the upper buttocks (for children ages 2–6).
The new Dexcom G7 15-Day sensor may be inserted on the back of the upper arm or the abdomen (stomach) and is indicated for adults ages 18 and older.
No, when purchasing the Dexcom G7 CGM system, it comes with the Dexcom G7 receiver.
Dexcom G7 now offers two wear options:
- Dexcom G7 (10-day wear) – FDA-cleared for ages 2+
- Dexcom G7 15 Day (15.5-day wear including 12-hour grace period) – FDA-cleared for adults 18+
